Cultural Education Program
During the course of each academic year, The Stanly
County Arts Council administers a Cultural Education Program in
partnership with Stanly County Schools.
This program serves to integrate the arts into the course
of study for students in grades preK-12.
The artists/programs are determined by the goals and
standards set by the NC Department of Public Instruction
regarding arts education.
Volunteers are
recruited to act as “on site” hosts for each program.
The Arts Council has enjoyed a number of committed
volunteers over the years that have taken on this
responsibility. Programs
for children grades preK-8 have traditionally been held at the
Stanly County Agri Civic Center.
The high school programs have been in school programs.
